Back to Anthropology

Well, after pursuing a teaching degree fell through, I'm back in the department of anthropology at UNLV. Finally, everything is running smooth again after this latest no-go.As it turns out, I will be earning two separate bachelor's degrees because I have a plethora of credits: one in anthropology and one in sociology. Having two degrees is better than one, I suppose. I'm just glad all these years in school haven't been for nothing. I'm excited to be back in anth; I never fell out of love with anthropology I just thought that teaching might be a better choice to raise a family. I'm happy I gave it a shot, now that I know that teaching is going to be impossible it feels better to have one less option. Actually, teaching was the only other option besides anthropology. I'll be glad to get back to work, the fruitless struggle for teaching was disappointing.

Al on the other hand is doing better than ever. He recently made the Dean's List and was welcomed into the CSN Honor Society, which is a fantastic distinction for his CV. He's going to be attending UNLV with me this coming Spring of 2011. We're looking forward to it. :)

So, I suppose I will be back to the library and hours of research and paper-writing. At least by the time I will be applying for Grad school I will be used to it again. :)
